Dr. Irene Osisioma

Irene Osisioma, Ph.D is a full professor of science education at the California State University, Dominguez Hills. She has taught at various educational levels in both the United States and Nigeria for over 30 years. As part of her dedication to education, she also publishes articles and books, including guides for personal health.

She is also the CEO of Learning Questa Educational Services, an organization that promotes study-abroad programs for Nigerian youths. For her, the key to better education is to show how knowledge directly affects personal experience as well as culture. It’s a conclusion that has only been verified by the many years she has spent researching metacognitive strategies to teach difficult science topics. Today, she still splits her work between California and Nigeria while also spending quality time with family.
